The Halkidiki peninsula is located in the northern part of the Aegean Sea and features a very interesting "three-tooth" shape, which is formed by three thin elongated peninsula-"finger". These are Cassandra, Sithonia and Agion-Oros (Athos). Chalkidiki is the main resort place of mainland Greece. Unlike the southern islands, they are buried in bright greenery even in the height of summer. The resort as a whole offers a quiet and comfortable holiday, including a family holiday. There are hotels of all categories: from "five-stars" to cheap apartments.

Halkidiki are famous for their clean beaches and calm sea, but besides resting on the coast there is much to do. There are ruins of several ancient cities, there are archaeological and anthropological museums.
